H 1029 (2017-2018) BIPARTISAN STATE BOARD CHANGES (NEW). Filed May 29 2018, AN ACT TO REQUIRE A PRIMARY IF A NEW ELECTION IS ORDERED IN ANY ELECTION CONTEST; TO RETURN THE ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE OF ELECTIONS, ETHICS, AND LOBBYING TO THE 2016 STRUCTURE AND TO MAKE OTHER CHANGES TO THE ELECTIONS, ETHICS, AND LOBBYING LAWS.

Rescinds from conference report #1, reported on December 11, 2018, and replaces it with conference report #2. Conference report #2 includes all of the content of conference report #1 with the following changes. 

Amends GS 163-182.13, requiring a primary election to be conducted for any new congressional general election ordered by the State Board of Elections under subsection (a) of the statute. Requires the State Board to determine the primary date and related processes in conducting the primary. 

Makes conforming organizational changes, renumbering parts and sections of the act. Make conforming changes to the act's long title.

H 1121 (2017-2018) CONFIRM ROBBY HASSELL, INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION. Filed Dec 12 2018, A JOINT RESOLUTION TO CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT OF ANDREW ROBINSON "ROBBY" HASSELL TO THE NORTH CAROLINA INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION.

As title indicates. Sets the term of appointment to begin immediately and expire on June 30, 2024.
