AN ACT TO APPOINT PERSONS TO VARIOUS PUBLIC OFFICES UPON THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE OF THE SENATE AND TO MAKE MODIFICATIONS TO PREVIOUS APPOINTMENTS.

Part I.

Appoints the specified persons to the following boards and commissions upon the recommendation of the Speaker of the House, effective on the specified date, with terms expiring as provided: NC Interpreter and Transliterator Licensing Board, State Board of Community Colleges, NCInnovation, Rules Review Commission, NC Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners, NC Arboretum Board of Directors, NC Governor's Crime Commission, NC Capital Facilities Finance Agency Board of Directors, Piedmont Community College Board of Trustees, and the Mayland Community College Board of Trustees.  Directs, upon recommendation of the Speaker of the House, that if SB 382 of the 2023 General Assembly becomes law, then the named Wake County individual is appointed to the Superior Court on the specified date with the appointee's term expiring as directed.  

Part II.

Appoints the specified persons to the following boards and commissions upon the recommendation of the President Pro Tempore, effective on the specified date, with terms expiring as provided: Bladen Community College Board of Trustees, Guilford Technical Community College Board of Trustees, Sampson Community College Board of Trustees, Sandhills Community College Board of Trustees, NC Board of Massage and Body Work Therapy, and NC Supplemental Retirement Board of Trustees. 

Part III.

Repeals Sections 2.3 and 2.6 of SL 2024-50 (appointing the named appointees to the Bladen Community College Board of Trustees and the Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees, respectively, upon recommendation of the Speaker of the House effective on the specified date with terms expiring as provided). Makes technical correction to spelling of the named appointee to the Brain Injury Advisory Council for the term expiring on September 30, 2028, in Section 2.113 of SL 2024-12, as amended.

Directs that terms begin when the act becomes law, unless otherwise provided.
