Applicable to Durham County only, amends GS 166A-19.24, which authorizes remote meetings of a public body during a declaration of emergency by the Governor or the NCGA. Adds a new subsection to require a quasi-judicial proceeding by the county Board of Adjustment, authorized to be held remotely pursuant to the statute subject to due process and notice requirements, to be continued if one or more persons who have standing to participate in the hearing do not consent to the remote hearing. Requires that the hearing be continued until the sooner of 30 days or when the Board of Adjustment is able to meet in person. Applies to proceedings initiated on or after the date the act becomes law.
