Subject to approval by a majority of voters during the 2026 general election, adds new Section 39 to Article I of the North Carolina Constitution establishing the right of the people to engage in farming and forestry as described for the production of agricultural and forestry commodities as a valued and essential part of the State's heritage, to be forever preserved for public good, subject only to law enacted by the NCGA and rules adopted pursuant to those laws. Effective upon certification.
