Senate committee substitute to the 1st edition makes the following changes.

Section 3.

Modifies the powers of the NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (Board) under GS 90-270.92 to allow the Board to restrict licenses to practice physical therapy in the State and encumber licensed physical therapists, and to discipline them for departure from or failure to conform to recognized standards of ethics of the physical therapy profession as may be established by rule (was, the ethics of the physical therapy profession as defined by the American Physical Therapy Association, Code of Ethics for the Physical Therapist, and Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant).

Section 15.

Changes the act's effective date to October 1, 2026 (was, 2025).
