AN ACT REMOVING THE CAP ON SATELLITE ANNEXATIONS FOR THE TOWNS OF BELVILLE AND WINGATE, REMOVING CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTY FROM THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF SURF CITY, AND REMOVING CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTY FROM THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ASHEBORO.

Bill summary

Senate committee substitute to the 2nd edition makes the following changes.

Adds a new Section. Removes the described territories from the corporate limits of the City of Asheboro. Provides a savings clause for liens of the City for ad valorem taxes or special assessments outstanding before June 30, 2021. Effective June 30, 2021. Deems property in the described territories as of January 1, 2021, no longer subject to municipal taxes imposed for taxable years beginning July 1, 2021.

Makes conforming changes to the act's titles.
