Requires the NC Works Commission (Commission) to review and evaluate the State's anticipated workforce demand and educational supply for such demand, to the extent practicable within available resources and subject to the availability of data currently collected by and accessible to State agencies. Requires that the review be conducted in consultation with the Department of Commerce, the Department of Labor, the Department of Public Instruction, The University of North Carolina General Administration, the North Carolina Community College System, and any other entity the Commission deems appropriate. Requires the Commission to submit an initial written report on its findings and recommendations to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee (JLEOC) by February 1, 2018, and its final written report no later than 45 days before the 2019 Legislative Session. Requires progress reports at least every six months. Specifies items that must be included in the report to JLEOC.
