Bill summary
Senate committee substitute makes the following changes to 1st edition. Amends GS 90-21.16 to clarify that a nonprofit community health referral service that refers low income patients to physicians for free services is not liable for the acts or omissions of the physician if the nonprofit community health center maintains the requisite liability insurance (currently, the physician must maintain liability coverage for the service). Makes other clarifying and conforming changes, and makes a conforming change to title.
