Bill summary

Amends GS 115C-296(b)(2) to add a new subdivision (g) that requires the State Board of Education to maintain a nationally accredited teacher education unit that promotes continuous improvement in teacher preparation programs. 

Effective July 1, 2015, applying to new applicants for approval of teacher preparation programs by the State Board of Education on or after July 1, 2015, and to currently approved teacher education programs applicants who apply for continuing approval on or after July 1, 2017.
