Bill summary

House committee substitute makes the following changes to the 2nd edition.

Amends proposed language in GS 161-10(a)(1) to provide that for recording an instrument that contains excessive recording data, the fee will be an additional $2 for each party listed (previously, referred to fee for each entity listed) in the instrument in excess of 20. Makes conforming changes. 

Amends the effective date to make the act effective October 1, 2015 (was, effective July 1, 2015).
