Senate committee substitute to the 3rd edition makes the following changes.
Amends proposed GS 160D-917 (camping in public spaces) by replacing the Department of Health and Human Services with the Department of Labor throughout. Adds the requirement that the Department of Labor adopt rules to implement the statute by June 30, 2027. Changes the statute’s effective date from October 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
