Amends GS 74E-6 enacting a new subsection (c1), which confers additional authority to a person or entity that employs or contracts with a company police agency to enter into joint agreements with (1) the governing board of any municipality and (2) the governing board of any county, with the consent of the sheriff, to extend the law enforcement authority of company police officers into any or all of the municipality's or county's jurisdiction and to determine the circumstances in which the extension of authority may be granted.
