AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE NORTH CAROLINA POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION CAN APPOINT ONE FULL-TIME SWORN LAW-ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TO SERVE ON THE NORTH CAROLINA CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATION AND TRAINING STANDARDS COMMISSION.

    Amends GS 17C-3 to add a full-time sworn law enforcement officer selected by the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association to the membership of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. 

    Sets the initial term of the new member from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024; subsequent appointees will serve a term of three years, with services at the will of the appointing authority.
