Bill summary
House committee substitute to the 1st edition makes the following changes. Amends proposed GS 131D-4.3A so that it is applicable to all adult care homes, as defined in GS 131D-2.1, licensed under Article 1 of GS Chapter 131D, and operating in the State (was, requiring all nursing homes, combination homes, and adult care homes that are licensed and operating in the State). Requires that the emergency service be sufficient to also provide air conditioning in addition to already listed heat, lighting, and other essential electrical services required by rules of the Medical Care Commission. Makes conforming changes to GS 131E-114.3A by requiring emergency electrical services sufficient to also provide air conditioning. Makes additional clarifying changes.
