A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE CONSUMPTION OF MALT BEVERAGES OR UNFORTIFIED WINE ON THE PREMISES OF ANY BUSINESS DURING THE PERIOD OF TIME WHERE ANY ON-PREMISES PERMIT ISSUED TO THE BUSINESS AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF MALT BEVERAGES OR UNFORTIFIED WINE IS SUSPENDED OR REVOKED BY THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL COMMISSION AND AMEND THE DEFINITION OF A CONVENTION CENTER FOR PURPOSES OF THE STATE'S ABC LAWS.

Amends the short and long titles.

Deletes language in GS 18B-1000(1a)b that required a qualified, privately owned facility to be located within an area that has been designated as an Urban Redevelopment Area under Article 22 of GS Chapter 160A to be considered a convention center when other conditions are also met. Effective when the act becomes law.
