Enacts new GS 130A-215.5 to require health care facilities performing mammography exams to do the following: (1) include in the lay letter required by federal law to be provided to the patient information identifying the patient's individual breast density level, based on the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System; also includes language to be included if the patient has heterogeneously or extremely dense breasts and (2) provide all patients receiving diagnostic or screening mammograms with informative material about breast density. Amends GS 130A-211 to make a technical change by no longer providing immunity to individuals making a report under GS 130A-210 (which has been repealed) to the central cancer registry. Effective October 1, 2013.
