Bill summary

House committee substitute makes the following changes to 1st edition.
Amends GS 120-2 to establish boundaries for 120 House districts with each district electing one representative to the North Carolina House of Representatives in 2012 and periodically thereafter. A map of the districts proposed in the committee substitute is posted on the General Assembly’s web site here.
Effective when the act becomes law and applies to elections held on or after January 1, 2012.
