AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE TUITION WAIVER FOR SURVIVORS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, FIREFIGHTERS, OR RESCUE SQUAD WORKERS AND CERTAIN OTHERS ALSO APPLIES TO CHILDREN WHOSE LEGAL GUARDIANS OR LEGAL CUSTODIANS ARE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, FIREFIGHTERS, OR RESCUE SQUAD WORKERS. Enacted October 30, 2015. Effective October 30, 2015, and applies beginning with the 2016 spring semester.

Makes technical and conforming changes.
Amends GS 115B-5(b) to require verification of the legal guardian or legal custodian-child relationship by an order from a court proceeding that established the relationship.
Amends GS 115B-5(c) and GS 115B-5.1, concerning tuition waivers and scholarship values, making updates to statute references.
