S 691 (2017-2018) 2017 SENATE FLOOR REDISTRICTING PLAN -- 4TH ED (NEW). Filed Aug 18 2017, AN ACT TO REALIGN THE DISTRICTS FOR THE ELECTION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE NORTH CAROLINA SENATE.

Senate committee substitute makes the following changes to the 1st edition. 

Changes the short title.

Amends GS 120-1 to establish boundaries for 50 single-member senatorial districts for the purpose of nominating and electing members of the Senate in 2018 and every two years thereafter. Applies to elections held on or after January 1, 2018.

A map of the Senate districts proposed and released before the committee meeting is posted on the General Assembly’s website here; however the map does not reflect the Senate districts proposed in the committee substitute.
