Conference report recommends the following changes to 2nd edition to reconcile matters in controversy. Requires eight trustees (was, 12) on the community college board of trustees to be elected by the board of commissioners, and four trustees to be appointed by the Governor (was, none). Makes conforming changes. Deletes provisions that reduced the Stanly County Board of Education to seven members, and specified that members be elected at-large. Deletes provision amending GS 163-30, which directed the State Board of Elections to appoint to the county board of elections two from the list of three candidates submitted by the political party having the greatest number of registered voters in the county and one from the list of three candidates submitted by the political party having the second greatest number of registered voters in the county. Makes conforming changes to the bill title.
