Enacts new GS 143B-1218 requiring the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to track the following types of programs by documenting, collecting, and analyzing the effect of the programs on the outcomes of veterans and their families: (1) programs to assist veterans in obtaining access to health care, (2) programs to assist veterans and their families in obtaining housing and other social supports, (3) programs to assist veterans in obtaining employment, (4) programs to provide financial assistance to veterans and their families, and (5) any other programs designed to serve veterans and their families in this state. Requires the use of a mixed-methods approach that combines outcome-based evaluation and impact evaluation. Requires an annual report, beginning November 1, 2020, to the specified NCGA committee.
