Bill summary

Amends GS 20-130 to, excluding electronically modulated headlamps on motorcycles and specified public safety vehicles, prohibit driving a vehicle on a highway of this state while using a light bar lighting device, defined as a bar-shaped lighting device made up of multiple lamps capable of projecting a beam of light at an intensity greater than that allowed under the statute. 

Applies to offenses committed on or after October 1, 2017.
