AN ACT TO STUDY CAREER AND COLLEGE READINESS IN NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOLS, INCLUDING HOW TO INCORPORATE CAREER AND COLLEGE READINESS MEASURES INTO SCHOOL PERFORMANCE GRADES FOR HIGH SCHOOLS.
House committee substitute to the 1st edition makes the following changes.
Changes the act's long and short titles.
Changes the name of the committee created by the act to the Joint Legislative Study Committee on Career and College Readiness (was, on the Inclusion of Career and College Readiness Coursework in School Performance Grades). Adds to the Committee's charge to require the Committee to study and make recommendations on the meaning and skills of career and college readiness, how instruction in career and college readiness skills should be incorporated into the standard course of study, and all relevant outcome measures that would determine the success of career and college readiness programs in public schools.
