Senate committee substitute makes the following changes to the 1st edition.

Amends GS 143-166.42(c1) by revising the new subdivision (2) to clarify that payments to a retired officer shall not cease when the retired officer is employed by a local government in service to a county board of elections on election day in a capacity that complies with the requirements of GS 128-21(19) (defining retirement) and does not result in cessation or suspension of benefits from the Local Government Employees’ Retirement System.
