AN ACT INCREASING THE PERSONAL NEEDS ALLOWANCE FOR RECIPIENTS OF STATE-COUNTY SPECIAL ASSISTANCE IN ORDER TO CORRECT FOR INFLATION AND ALLOW RESIDENTS OF ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES TO RETAIN MORE OF THEIR OWN FUNDS TO PURCHASE PERSONAL ITEMS; AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, DIVISION OF SOCIAL SERVICES, TO OFFSET THE COST OF THIS INCREASE.

Appropriates $2,250,000 in recurring funds for 2019-20 and $3 million in recurring funds for 2020-21 from the General Fund to the DHHS, Division of Social Services, to offset the cost of increasing the personal need allowance amount.

Effective July 1, 2019.
