AN ACT TO REQUIRE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES TO ENTER MISSING CHILD, MISSING PERSONS, OR UNIDENTIFIED PERSONS INFORMATION INTO THE NATIONAL MISSING AND UNIDENTIFIED PERSONS SYSTEM AFTER THIRTY DAYS HAVE PASSED AND THE PERSON HAS NOT BEEN FOUND OR IDENTIFIED.

House committee substitute to the 1st edition makes the following changes. Amends GS 143B-1015 to clarify that a law enforcement agency must enter missing or unidentified person information into NamUS upon either of the named situations. Also clarifies that a law enforcement agency must enter both listed categories of information when entering missing or unidentified person information into NamUS. Makes additional clarifying changes in GS 143B-1013 and GS 143B-1016.
