Appropriates $13.2 million for 2022-23 from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to provide additional assistance to eligible Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefit recipients in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Requires that up to $2 million be allocated per month for payments to eligible recipients. Specifies that each recipient is to receive $193 a month for up to six months. Requires DHHS to report to the specified NCGA committees and division by March 1, 2024, on the use of the funds. Effective July 1, 2022.
