    Enacts new GS 130A-496(b)(4) and new GS 130A-498(b1)(9) to permit smoking in an age-restricted venue that is structurally separated and ventilated to prevent smoke from migrating into an enclosed area where smoking is prohibited. Amends GS 130A-492 (definitions) to define age-restricted venue as a public place, including a bar or restaurant, that restricts entry to persons 18 years of age or older, including employees, as indicated. Defines structurally separated as a manner of construction including a stud wall, covered with drywall or other building material, or another barrier which, when completed, extends from the floor to ceiling, resulting in a physically separated room. Effective October 1, 2011.
