    Amends GS 115C-84.2 to provide that a school calendar includes, among other requirements, a minimum of 180 days (was, 185 days) and 1,000 hours (was, 1,025 hours) of instruction. Adds a requirement that the calendar include five teacher workdays, as scheduled by the local board of education. Makes conforming changes. Effective July 1, 2012, and applies beginning in the 2012-13 school year.
