Amends GS 14415.17 to direct sheriffs to make the list of concealed handgun permit holders available to law enforcement agencies for official purposes only, and directs those agencies receiving that information to maintain the confidentiality of that information. Directs that the State Bureau of Investigation's (SBI) list of permit holders show only the last four digits of a permit holder's Social Security number.
Directs the SBI to redact Social Security numbers from any record that does not comply with the above amendments by December 31, 2017.
