Appropriates $43,250 in recurring funds from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services (Department), Division of Child and Family Well-Being, for each year of fiscal biennium 2023-25. Appropriations provide the State's 50% match toward salary and benefits for a position to assist with statewide navigation for the food and nutrition services education and training program (FNS E&T). Specifies that position will focus on counties with insufficient navigator staffing for their FNS E&T programs.
Enacts GS 108A-52.1, directing the Department to implement 12-month certification periods for all households eligible under federal law. Gives the Social Service Commission authority to adopt rules for implementation.
Effective July 1, 2023.
