    Amends GS 116-11 and GS 115D-5 by adding the requirement that the UNC Board of Governors and the State Board of Community Colleges, respectively, adopt policies allowing individuals who are 65 years old or older to audit up to six hours of courses per semester at a constituent institution or community college as long as the class is not full and the faculty member approves the request. Specifies that attendance by audit is counted as full‑time equivalent student hours. Effective July 1, 2107, and applies to the 2018 fall academic semester and subsequent semesters.
