House committee substitute to the 1st edition makes the following changes.
Amends GS 130A-152 to require that the immunization has been approved (was, licensed) by the FDA for a minimum of three years unless both the NC Medical Society Board of Directors and the NC Pediatric Society Board of Directors (was, 3/5 of the members of the Commission for Public Health Commission votes) recommend to authorize the immunization earlier. Makes conforming changes.

Amends the State mandatory child immunization requirements for diseases other than diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis, red measles (rubeola) and rubella (GS 130A-152) to include a requirement that the immunization has been licensed by the FDA for a minimum of three years unless 3/5 of the members of the Commission for Public Health (Commission) votes to authorize the immunization earlier.
