    AN ACT TO APPOINT PERSONS TO VARIOUS PUBLIC OFFICES UPON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE OF THE SENATE. Enacted July 25, 2013. Effective July 25, 2013, unless otherwise provided.

    Senate amendment makes the following changes to the 2nd edition.

    Makes changes to the appointments, upon the recommendation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, of persons to various public offices.

    Deletes the appointment to the NC Arboretum Board of Directors.

    Makes technical changes, correcting the names of appointees whose names are spelled incorrectly and making other corrections to the names of appointees.

    Removes and replacesappointees to the Roanoke Island Commissionand the North Carolina On-Site Wastewater Contractors and Inspectors Certification Board.

    Inserts a new section making an appointment to the North Carolina CemeteryCommission and a new section making an appointment to the Rural Infrastructure Authority.

    Reduces the number of named appointees to the North Carolina Crime Victims' Compensation Commission from two to one.
